About this product

Scoliosis, kyphosis and other spinal irregularities rarely sit neatly inside a stock shape. This thoracic back support is made to be customised: the foam is a grid of removable uCube blocks, and the fitter takes blocks out or changes their height until the shell follows the client’s actual back.

Who it suits

Clients with an established spinal deformity who need thoracic support without pressure on a prominence, and anyone whose shape has defeated a contoured back. Because the blocks are pinned in place, the layout holds through daily use and can still be reworked at the next review.

The cover is a three layer antimicrobial fabric with an air channel running through it, which helps with heat and moisture for a client who sits all day. A pelvic positioning cut-out encourages the client back into the seat, and one hand quick release lets a carer lift the back off for the car.
