A calf rest stops the lower legs drifting back under the seat and gives the client a defined place to rest them. On the HTS it sits above the footboard, padded side toward the client, and wraps onto the footboard uprights with webbing straps and buckles.
That fixing means it can be set snug, moved up or down with the footboard, and taken off in a moment when the footboard is run to its top positions, where the calf rest is not used.
It suits clients who push into extension or who lose their foot placement partway through a session, and it makes the seated position easier for a carer to re establish.
