The Gravitate G6 pairs a very low floorline with the clinical functions a complex client needs. It drops close to the floor for fall management and lifts to a full working height for carers, with head lift, knee break and Trendelenburg in between.
Who it suits
Two features set it apart for pressure care. An auto regression backrest moves the base back as the top lifts, opening space at the sacrum so the client is not dragged or pinched as the backrest comes up. A manual vascular support function raises the lower legs through five stops for venous insufficiency, varicose veins and lymphoedema.
Exit sensing underbed lighting comes on as the client moves, which gives a visual reference at night without waking the whole room and has been reported to reduce call outs. The bed also extends in length for taller clients, which stops them sliding down and taking heel pressure against the footboard. The frame breaks into four sections for transport and redeployment.
