A front step or a back deck is often the only thing standing between a client and their own home. This aluminium access ramp with hand rails covers that rise in one piece and gives the person something to hold while they cross it.

The ramp is a single extruded aluminium span with a textured, slip resistant surface and a self adjusting transition plate that sits flat against the ground. Side curbs run the full length to stop a castor dropping off the edge. Smooth rails on both sides matter for anyone walking with a stick, crutches or a frame, and they help a carer steady a wheelchair on the descent.

Installation is placing the ramp and fitting the rails. Two pre drilled holes let you fix it down permanently if the placement is settled. Aluminium will not rot or rust, so it can live outside in Tasmanian weather with no maintenance.
