The hip positioner attaches to the TRAM and holds the hips in a steadier position while your client practises supported walking. It is for clients whose hips swing, rotate or collapse to one side once they start stepping, which breaks up the gait pattern and tires them quickly.
Holding the pelvis more consistently gives the client a cleaner pattern to repeat, so the practice is worth more. It also makes the session easier to supervise, because you can watch the step without constantly correcting posture with your hands.
It comes in two sizes and an optional pad can be added for comfort where the client is sitting into the positioner for longer periods.
