Who it suits
The Whitmyer Heads Up supports the head and neck from the front as well as behind and at the sides, which makes it an option for a client whose head falls forward and who loses eye contact and interaction because of it. Holding the head up changes what someone can see, eat and communicate.
This version uses swing away arms. The carer swings them out of the way for transfers, eating or personal care, then brings them back to the position the clinician set, without dismantling anything. For families doing several transfers a day, that is a real saving.
It comes in pad sizes from early intervention to large, in reversed Dartex or Lycra, and mounts on the Whitmyer hardware range.
