About this product

Lifting a folded wheelchair into a boot is one of the most common ways a carer or a partner hurts their back, and for many households it is the thing that stops the chair travelling at all.

This carrier bolts to a standard rear tow bar receiver and holds a manual wheelchair outside the vehicle. The platform tilts down so the chair is rolled on and off at ground level, then locks level for the drive. No tie down straps are needed and an anti tilt bracket is supplied. Because the chair rides outside, the boot and the back seats stay free for luggage, shopping or other passengers.

It suits a family or a support worker moving a folding manual chair regularly in a car that cannot swallow one easily.
