Weighing someone who cannot stand safely usually means a transfer, and a transfer is the risky part. The A and D WCS wheelchair scale removes it: the client stays in their own chair and rolls onto the platform.
The platform uses a drop centre design with an entry ramp, so the rolling surface sits close to the floor and the approach is gentle. The weighing area is large enough for powered chairs as well as manual ones. The indicator sits on its own stand, which means the display can be placed where the clinician can read it, clear of the platform. It runs on mains power or batteries, so it can go out to a client’s home.
The anodised aluminium build keeps it light enough for one person to shift between rooms, and it is made in Australia.
