The Viking is for clients who need more than a frame can give during gait retraining: someone rebuilding walking after a stroke, a brain injury or a long admission, who needs their weight taken through the forearms and their trunk held upright while they practise a step.
Forearm supports carry the load off the hands and wrists, which lets a client work on stepping even when grip strength or wrist pain would stop them using a standard handle. The height adjusts across a wide band, so it covers both short sessions in a chair to stand position and longer corridor work, and one unit can follow a client through the stages of their program.
The frame is heavy duty aluminium, built for ward and gym use where the same unit gets used by several people a day and still has to roll straight. Width adjustment helps you fit it to a doorway or around a client’s own stance.
