Who it suits
This is a back support for an active wheelchair user who needs lower trunk stability without losing the trunk movement they use to propel, reach and transfer. The contoured shell covers the lower trunk and helps hold the pelvis and spine in better alignment while leaving the upper back free.
The planar shape is deliberately simple, which makes it straightforward to build on. Lateral trunk supports and other positioning accessories mount to it when a client needs more control, and both back angle and seat depth can be adjusted while the client stays seated in the chair, so a therapist can fine tune the fit in one visit.
The shell is light and the cover is dual layer: a merino inner layer that helps regulate temperature against the skin, and a lycra outer layer for durability and easier cleaning. Mounting hardware is chosen at order, with quad, single, dual and heavy duty quad options.
