Some clients cannot get a reliable blood pressure reading at home because no standard cuff will close around their upper arm. The UA-789XL is built for exactly that situation: it is supplied with an extra large flat cuff with a D-ring, covering arm circumferences well beyond the usual adult range.
Operation is one touch. Pressing start runs the whole cycle, and the three line display shows systolic, diastolic and pulse at once in large characters, which helps clients with reduced vision read their own result. A World Health Organization classification indicator and an irregular heartbeat indicator appear after each measurement, and every reading is stored with time and date so trends can be reviewed.
A clock display and three daily reminder alarms help clients who struggle to remember a routine. The monitor is designed for use with A&D large and extra large cuffs only.
