A padded mat that lies alongside the bed to reduce impact if a client rolls or slides out overnight. It suits people with dementia, epilepsy, uncontrolled movement or a history of night time falls, where preventing every exit is not realistic and softening the landing is.
It folds in three, so a carer can stand it out of the way during transfers and the housekeeping round, then lay it back down at night. Folding also makes it easy to store when the client is away or the risk changes.
The cover is wipe clean and fluid resistant for a bedroom where continence care happens. It sits low enough that a bed exit alarm mat or a mobile hoist base can still work around it, but check the client’s own transfer path before you set it up.
