Shoe sandals hold the foot on the footplate for a client who cannot keep their feet in place, without the enclosed feel of a moulded shoe holder. The open design keeps the foot cooler, which is worth having in a Tasmanian summer and for clients who sweat or have circulation issues.
This version has no toe strap, so it suits clients whose toes need to stay free, or whose feet are sensitive across the top. A rigid base plate carries the load and the ankle strap does the holding, so the foot is secure without being clamped.
They come fully assembled with the hardware to mount them to footplates, and they can be adjusted after they are mounted, which saves taking everything apart to change a strap setting. The sandals move with the footplate, so elevating leg rests still work normally.
