Head support mounting is often the weak link in a seating setup: the hardware fits one back support and not the next, and the shell flexes just enough to let the head drift. This kit solves both, letting Spex head supports mount to a wide range of back supports from either the front or the rear.
It also reinforces the connection between the Stylo hardware and the shell itself. In house testing of a typical setup showed shell bending cut by a factor of six and a meaningful increase in the force needed before the ball joint slips, which matters for a client with strong extensor tone.
The kit is a plate, fixings and grub screws, so it installs without specialist tooling, and it adds very little to the chair. Hole and slot spacing covers metric and imperial back supports, so it works on manual and power chairs alike.
