Some clients can stand from their chair if they have something solid to push off, but the arm of a lounge chair is too low and too soft to help. The Stander Assist-A-Tray puts a support handle right where the hand goes. The base slides under the legs of a four-leg chair, sofa, recliner, lift chair or bed, so the weight of the furniture anchors the handle.
The tray swivels a full circle and pushes aside when the person wants to stand, then comes back over the lap for meals, medication or an activity. There is a built-in cup holder and a compartment for cutlery. Handle height and tray height adjust separately, and the base width adjusts to fit most chairs.
It is a common request for people living at home with reduced leg strength, arthritis or early decline in mobility, who need something to push up on as well as a surface to work at. The frame is steel with an MDF tray.
