Staebel socks are a falls prevention item for clients who move about in bare feet or plain socks, whether that is at home, on a ward or in residential care. Grip is applied to both the sole and the top of the sock, so they still work if a sock twists on the foot during the night.
The upper is soft terry cloth and the socks are latex free, which keeps them usable for clients with a latex allergy. Larger sizes have a mesh band at the top so they sit comfortably over a swollen ankle or calf without leaving a mark.
The bright colours are a practical detail as well as a cheerful one: staff can see at a glance who on the floor has been flagged as a falls risk.
