The Staebel ComfortCare Bed Top Sheet is the upper layer of the ComfortCare in bed sliding system, used where a person is cared for in bed long term and needs repositioning in all directions through the day and night.
Two polycotton panels with low friction linings do the sliding, and an integral locking panel holds the position once it is set, including when the person is sitting up. Carers can turn, transfer, sit up and move a person into prone without handling them directly, and it is suitable for single carer use and for use with hoists.
For the person in the bed it means comfort and dignity, since they can remain on it indefinitely, either directly or under a cotton sheet. It washes at care laundry temperatures and spare panels are available.
