Bariatric clients often sit with an asymmetric pelvis, and a flat cushion lets that asymmetry settle in. The XLella High-Contour is an adjustable cushion built on the Spex strategic positioning base, so the shape under the pelvis can be configured to the pelvis in front of you.
The ischial well geometry has been reworked for larger body shapes, and the foam is a higher density so the cushion holds that shape through long days of sitting. Lateral rigidisers down each side support the thighs and keep the legs aligned. If the client’s posture changes, the base can be reconfigured without replacing the cushion.
The dual layer cover reduces shear and chafing, with air mesh panels and moisture wicking fabric to manage heat, and an incontinence cover is included as standard. The cushion is transport certified.
