Covers wear out long before the back support does. This is the spare outer cover for the Spex Adapta2 back support, so a client can stay in the seating you scripted while a soiled or worn cover is replaced or laundered.
It is shaped for the Adapta2 shell, which splits into two sections and is contoured to the client by adjusting the shell itself. A cover cut for that geometry matters: it has to follow the set curvature without pulling the sections flat or bunching behind the lumbar spine.
Keeping a second cover on hand is worth doing for clients with continence needs, high tone or heavy daily use. The chair keeps working while the cover is in the wash, and nobody has to choose between hygiene and getting the client up.
