This version of the SmartDrive SwitchControl button comes with a mono-jack lead, so it can be wired into the client’s own switch site as well as being used as a standalone button. That opens the drive control up to a client who cannot reliably reach or press a button mounted on the chair frame.
For a client with limited hand function, being able to place the control at a head, knee or tray site can be the difference between using power assist independently and needing a carer to start it. The lead runs to the client’s own preferred switch.
Setup is a configuration job, so plan an appointment with your seating and mobility supplier for the setup.
