About this product

A quarter length self assist rail for the Malibu and Monterey bed, for a client who needs something firm to hold while rolling, repositioning or moving to the edge of the bed to sit up.

It clamps onto the bed frame and folds down out of the way when it is not wanted, so it does not block a transfer, a hoist sling or a carer working at the bedside. Because it covers only a quarter of the bed length, it supports movement without enclosing the sleeping surface.

The rail is tubular steel and is supplied singly for either the left or the right side. Sides are named from the point of view of the person lying on their back in the bed, so order accordingly. Installation is not included.
