trixi lets a child move while they stand. The frame gives in every direction, so weight shifts, muscles work to correct it, and standing becomes an active task rather than a static one. If a rigid stand is what the child needs, the same frame is available rigid, and it can be set up anterior or posterior.
Schuchmann also built an app for it. stixi turns standing time into a game and keeps a standing diary, which is the practical answer to the hardest part of a standing programme: getting a child to tolerate longer sessions, and being able to show a funder what actually happened. The therapy tray takes arm supports and a mount for a tablet or an AAC device. Flexible knee positioners adjust in three dimensions and spread contact to reduce pressure, you choose between a vest, pelvic support or chest support, the castors lock fully for safe entry and exit, and heel edges hold the stance.
Check the weight limit against growth. trixi has a shorter working life for an older teenager than till or todd. Schuchmann put it at GMFCS levels II to IV.
