A curved transfer board for moving a seated person between two surfaces, such as a wheelchair and a bed, a car seat or a toilet. The curve lets the board follow the line of the client’s body and bridge a gap where the two surfaces are not square to each other, which is often the case beside a car door.
It suits clients with reasonable trunk control and upper body strength who can shuffle across with supervision or light assistance. For carers it keeps the transfer low and flat, so there is no lifting through the back.
The slim board is easy to store beside a chair or in a car, and the smooth surface wipes clean between uses.
