The bariatric version of the ROHO dry floatation mattress overlay is sized for a wider bed frame, so a larger client gets the same air cell environment across the full width of the surface they are lying on. It is supplied with a cover.
Sizing is the point here. An overlay that is too narrow leaves parts of the body loading onto the frame or the mattress edge, which defeats the purpose. Widening the surface keeps the client supported on air cells wherever they roll or are repositioned.
Sections are adjusted individually, so pressure under the pelvis can be set differently to the legs, and re-set as weight or condition changes. Like the standard system it needs no power, which keeps a bariatric set up simpler for the family or facility running it.
