The chest prompt supports the trunk at chest height in the Rifton Pacer, for a client who flexes forward or loses the upright position partway through a walk.
Holding the chest upright opens the front of the body, lets the head come up and puts the client in a position where they can actually see where they are going. For many clients that is the difference between shuffling with the eyes down and stepping with intent. It also takes fatigue out of the session, because the client is not spending energy fighting to stay upright.
It comes in three sizes matched to chest measurements, so measure before you order.
