These are the larger diameter casters for a Rifton Hygiene and Toileting System base. They are the option to choose when the route to the bathroom is not a smooth one.
A bigger wheel rolls up and over a door threshold, a tiled step or a bathmat edge. That saves the carer the jolt and the shove, and it saves the client the lurch, which is no small thing when they are sitting on a toileting frame. They also handle outdoor paving and older uneven floors better than a small wheel does.
Fitting them raises the seat slightly from the floor, so check the client’s foot support and transfer height when you specify them. Casters are ordered to match the frame size of the system, small, medium or large.
