The mounting bar is what lets the HTS seat go straight onto the household toilet. It fits under the existing toilet seat bolts, and the seat then hooks into two sockets on the bar and lowers onto the bowl, so the client uses the family toilet with their own positioning in place.
Two shapes are made, one for standard round pans and one for elongated pans. Measure from the centreline of the seat bolts to the front edge of the porcelain to work out which you need. The large HTS uses a single style.
Fitting takes off the existing seat and lid, adds rubber washers, and replaces everything through the bar. The toilet needs to be securely fixed to the floor, and the bolts are worth checking from time to time while the bar is in use.
