A shower board sits across the rim of the bath and gives a client a seat to transfer onto, so the movement over the edge happens sitting down and one leg at a time. It is a straightforward answer for a household with a bath and no shower recess.
This board is moulded polyurethane, so it is light for a carer or the client to lift on and off and it is rated for heavier clients. The surface is textured for grip and drilled with drain holes so water runs away and does not pool underneath the person. Adjustable anti slip rubber pads on the underside set against the bath rim, which is what stops the board shifting during the transfer.
A handle attaches to the board to give the client something to hold while they turn and settle. It assembles easily and comes off for cleaning and for the rest of the household to use the bath.
