Hip supports give a child a stable pelvis, and a stable pelvis is the starting point for almost everything else in a seating prescription. Set close on either side, they stop the pelvis drifting sideways and help keep the trunk upright over it.
This is the fixed mounting version in black, supplied as a pair with covers. Fixed hardware sets the width once and keeps it, which suits a child with a settled position and makes the buggy predictable for whoever is setting it up that day, at home, at school or in respite.
The pads are sized to match the Stingray seat unit, so the support height and depth sit correctly against the pelvis, clear of the ribs and the thigh.
