Who it suits
The R82 Rabbit Up is an upright and prone standing frame for children and young people who cannot take up standing on their own. This build is the static configuration: frame, centre bar, braked castors and manual angle adjustment, with no driving wheels fitted.
The centre bar carries slots the whole way up, so chest, hip and knee supports can be positioned at the exact height the child needs them. Angle adjustment is stepped and controlled, which makes the transfer into the frame easier and lets you settle on a standing angle the child tolerates. Braked castors hold the base steady during a session and release when the frame has to be moved between rooms.
Standing loads bone, joint and muscle in a way sitting never does, and it puts a child at eye level with the people around them. R82 suits the Rabbit Up to children at GMFCS levels II to IV, and the frame can be prepared for driving wheels later if independent mobility becomes a goal.
