The Penguin is a lying support that gives a child head and trunk support in the bath while leaving their arms and legs free to move. That combination matters: the child is safe and held, but the bath is still something they can play in, so they stay in the water longer and the session becomes worth doing for its own sake.
Who it suits
It suits smaller children who cannot hold their own head or trunk in water and who would otherwise be supported by a carer’s arm for the whole bath. An adjustable abduction block sets the leg position to the individual child.
It secures with suction cups to any smooth surface, so it works in the R82 Orca tub and in an ordinary household bathtub as well. It is very light to carry and lift out, and the moulded surface wipes and dries quickly.
