A torso belt holds the child back against the Manatee backrest so they stay in the position you set them in. For children with limited trunk control this is what allows a carer to work with two hands, and it lets the child stay in the bath long enough to make the session worth doing.

The belt mounts to the Manatee frame and adjusts for length as the child grows, so it does not become the reason a chair stops fitting. It releases quickly and is built for a wet environment, so it rinses and dries between uses without stiffening.
