A Heron is built for older children and teenagers, and not every client has the leg length to match the seat it comes with. If the seat is too deep, the client slides forward to get their knees over the front edge and the whole postural set-up goes with them.
This kit shortens the effective seat depth so the backrest actually supports the client’s back and the front edge sits clear of the back of the knee. That is what keeps the pelvis upright through toileting and bathing.
It is a bolt-in change to an existing chair, so a client who has grown into a Heron early can use it now and have the kit removed later.
