The pommel on an R82 Caribou sits between the child’s knees to control hip abduction and stop the legs drifting together while the child stands. This strap secures to the pommel and helps hold that position through a standing session.
For a child with strong adductor tone, keeping the legs apart is often what makes standing tolerable and worthwhile, and a strap takes some of the repeated repositioning away from the carer. It fits the Caribou accessory system, so it goes on and comes off quickly when the frame is shared between children.
