The power kit converts the tilt on an R82 Caribou standing frame from manual operation to a powered actuator, so the carer moves the child between horizontal and standing at the press of a control and not by hand.
That matters most on the larger frames, where the combination of the child’s weight and the length of the frame makes manual tilting hard work. A powered actuator lets one person carry out the transfer and the position change safely, and lets the carer keep both hands and their attention on the child.
