Cross straps run diagonally across the child’s trunk in the Caribou and stop them sliding forward or sideways out of position while they stand. They are the part that makes a standing session safe enough for the carer to step back and let the child get on with an activity.
Used together, the straps give a symmetrical hold that discourages the trunk from rotating, which helps children who tend to collapse to one side. They are quick to fasten and release, so a transfer into the frame does not become a long procedure for the child who is already tired of being handled.
Four lengths are available so the strap can be matched to the size of frame and the size of the child, with room to adjust as they grow.
