Fixed side supports on the Caribou hold the trunk in a set position, and that position has to be right. These adjustment plates give you the means to move them, so a therapist can set the side supports where the child’s trunk actually needs contact.
It is a small part that does a lot of clinical work. Trunk support that is too high presses under the arms, and too low it does nothing for posture. Being able to shift the plates means you can fine tune the setup at review and again as the child grows, without replacing the supports.
The plates come as a one size item and fit the Caribou’s existing hardware, so they can be added to a frame that is already in service.
