About this product

Folding a wheelchair is the part of the day nobody talks about, and for a full-time user it happens again and again. The Quickie QS5 X is built around that moment. Its FreeFold cross brace takes a large slice of the effort out of every fold, and because the wheel camber does not change as it closes, the folded chair stands squarely on the ground instead of leaning against your shins while you open the car door.

Who it suits

Active users who need a folding chair for transport but do not want to give up the ride of a rigid frame. The heat-treated 7000 series aluminium box frame locks out through an oval-tubed four-arm cross brace, so the push feels firm rather than flexy, and the optional folding fixation keeps the chair closed while it is being lifted in and out of a boot. Less energy through the fold and through the push both come back to the same place: your client’s shoulders.

It is also one of the more personal chairs in the range, with a long list of frame, castor fork, rim and cross-brace colours that can be mixed to suit the person rather than the catalogue.
