Travel is the whole point of the Quest. It folds in three steps and stands upright or lies flat, so it fits in a car boot, behind a seat, in a caravan locker or in a hall cupboard in a small unit. For a client who is still travelling, visiting family interstate or moving between two homes, that is the feature that decides it.
The lithium ion battery pack is light and can be lifted out separately, which keeps the piece weights manageable for a carer and makes airline and cruise travel easier to arrange. The articulated front end keeps all four wheels tracking on uneven ground, so the short wheelbase does not feel skittish.
The seat is a moulded plastic seat with a vinyl cover and armrests, the tiller adjusts, and front and rear LED lighting is fitted. Top speed is modest, which suits shopping centres, markets and footpaths rather than long road side runs.
