It folds down when it is not needed, which matters on a scooter that gets packed into a boot. The basket collapses flat so it does not fight the folded frame or have to come off for every trip, which removes one more step for a client or carer already managing the fold and the boot lift.
Front carrying also keeps shopping in view and off the client’s lap, so nothing slides into the footwell on a camber.
