Every residential and clinical service needs a way to get a person out of a bedroom when they cannot walk and the lift is not an option. An evacuation sheet stays fitted under the mattress until it is needed, then the person is secured on it and drawn along the floor and down stairs by one or two staff.
Because it stays in place, there is no scramble to find equipment in a fire or a flood, and staff who drill with it are handling something already on the bed. The low friction base lets a single person move an adult across carpet and vinyl, and the straps hold the person and the bedding together so they are not lifted at any point.
Worth fitting one to every bed.
