Back height is one of the hardest calls to get right at a first fitting, and the answer often changes once a client has been sitting in the chair for a few weeks. This back support takes that pressure off: height adjusts steplessly inside the shell itself, and it can be changed with the client still seated.
The lower section stays fixed to hold the pelvis while the upper section moves and carries deep, depth adjustable lateral contours for the thoracic region. So trunk support can be raised for a client who is fatiguing, or dropped back as control improves, without touching the pelvic set-up.
A scapula cut-out keeps the shoulder blades clear, and the mounting hooks expand outwards, which gives some room when the chair is wider than the shell. Quick release mounting means a carer can pull the back off for transport in one hand.
