The Monterey is an electric care bed that drops close to the floor, which is the main tool available when someone rolls out of bed at night and a rail is not appropriate. Removable curved beech timber head and foot boards keep it looking like bedroom furniture, and that matters in a home or a residential room.
Who it suits
It suits a resident or client at risk of falling from bed, someone who needs backrest and knee break positioning for comfort, breathing or oedema, and anyone whose carers need the bed raised to a safe working height. Trendelenburg tilt is available where positioning calls for it.
The Linak drive runs from a simple handset, the four section platform has removable steel deck panels for cleaning and servicing, and mattress retainers on all four corners stop the mattress walking as the bed moves. A built in extension adds length for a taller person without buying a different bed, and fold down rails can be clamped on or taken off.
