This is the mains charger for the NiMH battery packs used across the first generation Molift mobile hoists. It mounts on a wall or sits on a bench top, so a facility can set up a single charging point near the hoist parking bay.
The charger detects which Molift battery pack is connected and adjusts automatically, so staff do not need to match a charger to a hoist. That keeps the routine simple on a shift handover: the flat pack goes on, the charged pack goes into the hoist.
Keeping a spare battery on charge is the practical way to avoid a hoist being out of service mid-shift, and this charger is the piece that makes that rotation work.
