Pushing a loaded ceiling hoist along the rail is the part of the transfer that still puts load through a carer’s shoulders, especially on a long straight run or where a client is heavy. This Molift Air 350 build has powered propulsion, so the motor drives itself along the track from the hand control and the carer only guides it.
It also has in rail charging, so the unit charges from the rail wherever it is left. Together those two things make it a sensible specification for a client who transfers many times a day, or for a household where the carer is older or has an existing back or shoulder injury.
The lift itself covers sitting and horizontal transfers, repositioning, hygiene and gait training, and it runs quietly with a soft start and stop.
