Wheelchair Aussie Rules is growing fast, and the chairs have had to catch up. The Torpedo was built for it: a reinforced frame with heavier bottom rails, made to keep going through the big hits until the final whistle.
Components are chosen for quality, and many are made in house by Melrose engineers on CNC equipment rather than bought in. The chair comes standard in lightweight aluminium and can be built in titanium for a lighter, sharper frame if the player wants the responsiveness.
Seat width and back can be tapered, back upholstery tension is adjustable, and the build list covers hip straps, back bar covers, cushions in a range of thicknesses, single or double swivel anti-tips, aluminium, titanium or ABS skirt guards, rubber coated hand rims in red or black, clear or black spoke guards and a choice of smooth, high pressure IRC and Kenda Iron Cap tyres.
