The Kea is Melrose’s fully adjustable fixed frame chair for small children, and it is built to grow. Seat width and length both adjust, so the chair keeps fitting as your client develops rather than being replaced the moment they stretch.
What sets it apart from the Stallion Junior is what has been taken out. The Kea is built without lower rails, which cuts the aluminium in the frame by more than half, and the adjustable footplate and castor pivots are made as a single unit to save more again. For a child learning to push, a lighter chair is the difference between getting across the playground and giving up halfway. Every Kea is custom built, and the options list covers manual recline, adjustable back upholstery, trays with a range of mounting positions, cushions, bags, spoke guards and impact guards.
It suits a child who is ready to self propel and needs a chair that will keep up with school, home and play for several years.
