A bedside cabinet is the one piece of furniture a resident reaches for all day, so it has to be within arm’s length from the bed and easy to open from a seated position. The W-1 is sized for that, with a flat drawer for small items, an open compartment for things in constant use and a deep drawer with a bottle holder underneath.
It rolls on casters, so care staff can pull it clear to make the bed or bring a hoist alongside and then put it straight back. The Bardolino Oak finish is chosen so the cabinet reads as room furniture, and the same finish range runs across the Malsch bed and furniture line.
Surfaces are laminated for wiping down, and options include soft close drawers, a lockable compartment and a rounded corner cover plate.
