The spring balanced arm makes positioning quick and single handed, and the head holds its angle once set. Dimming runs in four stages from a sealed touch switch, so the same fitting covers a quiet check and a full procedure.

The housing is sealed and shaped for wiping, the construction is all metal, and the head releases from the arm with a button if it ever needs service.
