About this product

Tilt-in-space chairs are usually heavy, and portable chairs usually do not tilt. The Ki Mobility Liberty is the rare chair that does both, and it is light enough that a carer can put it in a car without a second person or a hoist.

It comes on two bases. The folding base suits a client who needs tilt-in-space and a chair that collapses for the boot, while still leaving the wheels accessible for independent hand or foot propulsion. The rigid base has fewer moving parts and is lighter again, with an optional fold-down back, so it suits users, carers and facilities that do not need the chair to fold. Either way the client keeps the ability to move themselves, which is the part most comfort chairs take away.

The magnesium Maxx Mag wheel is exclusive to Ki: it narrows the overall width of the chair while being stiffer and lighter than the usual nylon composite mag wheel, which helps in doorways and in tight bathrooms.
